Shamrocks and St. Patty

In lieu of the approaching St. Patrick's day... I will be writing in green today. A quick history lesson of our famed saint should also take precedents over all other topics I decide to write about. To begin, Saint Patrick was a disciple. He brought the gospel to those who were lost and found that he could use the shamrock as a tool to tell the story of the trinity - father, son, and holy spirit. This explains the over-marketed green shamrock we see around us this time of year. The story he told was able to tell the story of creation, Christ's life, and his eternal presence in our heart after accepting him as our savior. How cool is that? I have to wonder if the general public understands the reason for St. Patrick's day. Just a thought.

Now, as you can see, I have yet again failed at blogging. And again, my reason's continue to be consistent with my previous post - school, work, and life in general have blurred by "blogging vision" and kept me from truly committing to this incredibly popular blog! OKay, shut the front door!! Who am I kidding, this blog is not popular! However, the part about being busy and forgetting to update my blog is very true. In fact, it is so true that not only have I dismissed my blog, I have forgone painting canvases, writing long letters to my friends once a week, reading fun books on a regular basis, and making my bed! I hate this. And maybe this blog serves as a way to acknowledge my poor progress towards checking off some of my "to do's." And if so, I hope that through this "green" post, that I will be able to ignite my fire to pursue some of my goals and attempt (I'm using the word attempt because I know I am going to fail) at being the Proverbs 31 woman that I sooo want to be!

And to dedicate this post, I have to acknowledge Kyle and Paul. For if it weren't for them, I would only continue to let my blog sit unvisited and outdated. Thank you for reminding me that I have a blog and thank you for the encouraging conversation! What a blessing it is to have men chasing after Christ and choosing to love him first, above all things!
